This is one of the finest examples of the old time ENGLISH STYLE JOSEPH's COAT that I've had the pleasure of owning. Although not quite equal in size, there are four panels visible and are shown in the third through sixth pictures of quarter turn rotations of the marble.
Six colored lines, bands, and ribbons grace the surface, and just below, from pole to pole, including: red, yellow, blue, white, green, and even a red ribbon with a violet band running down it's center. These colors are all separated by enough space to show easily viewed windows to the interior of a crystal clear base glass that reaches all the way to the other side. These exceptionally bright and intense colors, the particularly clear base glass, and the two unfinished pontail marks helps us to identify a manufacture date of circa 1880-1910. CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.7 The surface is wet and shiny like a brand new marble; even the pontail marks are as clean as the day it was made. If there is an anomaly, there is just the faintest whisper of very light wear that you can see if you click on the first picture which will open a very large 800 pixel view of the same perspective.
