Wow! This amazing artist continues to outdo himself. Geoffrey has named this one the Filigrana Royal. There is an underlying theme of rich royal blue with two sets of ribbon and lattice panels, all of a different design, accented with a generous application of sparkling dichroic lutz that changes colors as you rotate the marble, or even as you walk by it when displayed in a lighted curio. This latest release commands the center of attention in any display, marbles or otherwise, you choose to place it. A verbal description is nearly impossible and even pictures fail to do justice to this astonishing work of art.
One of the astonishing features of the marble is that it is made rather like an onionskin, i.e., The base glass is clear, then an underlying color is applied, in this case blue, then all of the ribbons are applied in a manner that gives them depth and a nearly three- dimensional look; so, all that you see, is actually just right on the surface--amazing. CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.9-10.0 PRISTINE, WET MINT. This marble has only been out of the box to photograph and reside, pride of place, in my lighted curio cabinet. Just like the day it was made.
