At 0.702", this is a bit large for most Peltier NATIONAL ONYX marbles--actually a little closer to 23/32" than it is to 11/16" and would have been considered a SHOOTER back in the days of marble tournaments, not so much to collectors today.
The transparent dark forest green base glass supports the classic feathered, almost rooster tail, design that makes Peltier slags so easy to identify, the only marble of it's kind ever made. They can still be found even with the large influx of marble collectors into the community; however, most found today have been played with quite a bit, and very few are around in this like new wet mint condition.
CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.8 PRISTINE, WET MINT. I can find no anomalies on the near perfect wet shiny blemish free surface. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 17.83mm or 0.702" at the equator. | |||||
