The base glass is the cloudy, translucent milky white of the ACE or MOSS family of marbles, and the fairly common opaque white is present, but instead of the usual single colored ribbon, this one has two, and both are rather unusual to see on an ACE: this example sports the strange combination of orange, and carnelian. I guess we technically could call this one a corkscrew because the ribbons travel unbroken from pole to pole, but they certainly take a circuitous, meandering path to get there. So, in this case, I guess the owner gets to make the call. I chose neither, I just call it an ACE, and it is assuredly that.
CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.8 or better. The surface is PRISTINE WET MINT. I can find no anomalies on this marble at all. In fact, it probably deserves a 9.9 rating, but I may have missed a little insignificant something. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 16.38mm or 0.645" at the equator. | |||||
