This one has two opposing bands of golden yellow lines, in the fashion of many INDIAN types, on a clear base glass that has quite a few bubbles of all sizes. The old timers, such as myself, have always called these BANDED CORELESS, but I have found in recent years, some of the younger collectors call marbles with bands of this sort an INDIAN with whatever type of base glass preceding the name; therefore, I guess, this one would be a CLEAR INDIAN.
The pontail marks are completely unfinished which helps us to date the manufacture to the late Victorian era, circa 1870-1910. CONDITION: MINT 9.4 The surface is wet and shiny with no signs of play or wear. With a bright light and magnification I can find a small spot of, as-made?, microscopic pitting--leading edges of sub-surface micro-bubbles, or possibly ash in the air during the cooling process?--If you look real hard you can almost see them at about 9:00 near the edge of the fourth picture.
