Four show white deep ribbons meet at two seams on a bright and cheerful CHERRY red base glass to define what I have termed a CHERRY BOMB.
When you come across transparent red as the base glass of a Peltier marble, you have found a rarity indeed; such as the Rainbo Ruby Slipper. The Ruby Slipper though is a very dark Ruby red glass, and this one is a bright transparent CHERRY red that allows you to see down inside the marble. I've seen far and away more of the Ruby Slippers than I have of these CHERRY BOMBs, if that's the right name for it. It seems I saw one a few years back that had that name on it. I said all that to say this: The CHERRY RED base glass is a very rare find, and for it to be in this wonderful mint condition makes it a great day indeed. CONDITION: MINT 9.6 The surface is wet and shiny as a mint marble should be, and there is no sign of play or wear. All I can find under close inspection is a number of very tiny and clearly as-made melted dimples. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 16.12mm or 0.634" at the equator. | |||||
