This is a rather unusual SLAG from CAC, in that the red is a bright CHERRY RED rather than the darker ruby red as is more common with Christensen red marbles. As with all slag marbles, this is a single stream of transparent red with white mixed in. This example has two crimp lines at opposite ends of the marble.
CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.7 The surface is as near to perfect as you'll ever see in a CAC Slag. The pictures appear to show some tiny holes, especially in the white, such as the fourth picture; those are not holes, they are sub-surface air bubbles that have risen through to penetrate the white glass, but did not make it all the way to break the surface or to even collapse to form a dimple. They even pass the fingernail test. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 17.07mm or 0.672" at the equator. | |||||
