Of all the Peltier standard COMIC marbles MOON is second only to KAYO in terms of rarity. The goal of most collectors is to find all 12 of the different comic characters that were made. After that comes the almost impossible chore of finding those screened onto the Peltier Peerless marbles of different colors than the standard. This is one of those: All of the MOON marbles I have ever seen came with the MOON charactor screened onto a mustard yellow marble with an opaque pea green patch, and there were actually very few of those. This one is on a white Peltier Peerless with a transparent dark green glass--almost unheard of. So, while the condition is a little less than desireable, it is the rarest of all the Peltier Comic marbles I have, or have had.
CONDITION: NEAR MINT. It looks like there's an impact mark in the patch shown in the sixth picture, and a small open air-bubble in the third. The rest is tiny pitting and scattered smudging from excess graphite splatter. The image is a bit light but very well centered in the white. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 17.11mm or 0.673" or 43/64" at the equator. | |||||
