This is one that some of us oldtimers refer to as the newer Marble King PATCH and RIBBONs; however, since it was made in Paden City West Virginia in the late 1960s and early '70s, 50 years ago, it's anything but new. This green and black color combination has long been referred to by collectors, who like to use superhero's colors, as the GREEN HORNET. The older original Patch and Ribbons of this color combination would have fetch a very high price, in the hundreds of dollars. These later models still command a respectable price, especially those, like this one, in this wonderful high mint condition.
CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.7 The surface is wet and shiny with no sign of play or wear at all. There aren't even any of those melted dimples so prevalent with nearly all marbles. The only anomaly that I can find is a short and shallow cold roll dent discernable in the second, fifth, and sixth pictures. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 15.87mm or 0.625" at the equator. | |||||
