What a beautiful marble to have in my collection: an Akro Agate TRANSLUCENT, see sixth picture, full 3/4", EGGYOLK OXBLOOD CORKSCREW. The base glass is white, and not all that obviously translucent until a backlight is provided and then it stands out like a match in a mine shaft. The liberal surface swirl of eggyolk has a faint tint of brown at the edge and is followed closely by a healthy application of the famous Akro oxblood. There never has been very many of these 3/4" shooters around, but with the explosion of new collectors joining the marble community it is approaching next to impossible to find in this wonderful wet mint condition.
CONDITION: WET MINT(+) 9.8 The surface is wet and shiny with absolutely no sign of wear what-so-ever. I can fine only one tiny, shallow melted dimple that is at the right edge of the fifth picture You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 19.05mm or 0.750" at the equator. | |||||
