There is a gorgeous transparent yellow base glass with white bands running from seam to seam on and beneath the surface to form a Christensen Agate Co.: STRIPED TRANSPARENT SUBMARINE. Transparent yellow is one of the more difficult colors to get a hold of when it comes to CACs, as, of course, is any CAC transparent based marble. Only in business for a short while during the late '20s and early '30s, there just weren't that many made, so not that many left after the intended buyers, young children, got through with them. Certainly not many in this unbelievable mint condition.
CONDITION: WET MINT 9.8 or even better. I can find no flaws of any kind on this marble. The surface is impeccable. I guess if I gave it a 9.9, there would be someone to find something to fuss about, but consider this a museum quality tribute to the Christensen Agate Company.
