Equal ribbons of orange and blue, separated by deep brown/black tracer, all corkscrew around each other forming what collectors call a "CLAUDIA". So named, to my understanding, after renowned Akro enthusiast RODGER HARDY's wife. In addition to the three colors already mentioned, the orange corkscrew has streaks of red and the blue is embeded with a darker blue-grey color that really makes the marble stand out amongst all the rest in a display of Akro Agate corkscrews or any display at all for that matter.
I will probably get in trouble with the marble ID police who's experts will say that the name "CLAUDIA" is reserved for the 1" specimens. Personally, I don't know that, but maybe they know something I don't, if so, I'll apologize. CONDITION: WET MINT 9.8 PRISTINE, UNTOUCHED.. I cannot find a flaw of any kind on this marble. You just won't find a cleaner example. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 16.67mm or 0.656" at the equator. | |||||
