Bright red and jet black ribbons make a rather circuitous path to meet at two seams on the surface of a white base glass--Long known to collectors as the Peltier NLR "REBEL". You can see bright reflections in most of the pictures, and indeed in the displays that I use. At first I assumed these were aventurine reflections, but upon close inspection, I found there is no aventurine on the marble at all but light reflecting from near microscopic dimples and wrinkles in the seams between the colors. This is a little more rare than the usual NLR REBEL as most of them do have the black aventurine. This is one of those "must have" requirements needed to fill any respectable Peltier collection.
CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.7 As you can see in the pictures the surface has a beautiful wet shiny look. Only with a bright light and lense, can I detect, in a small area, just the slightest whisper of microscopic wear; even then it is hard to see. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 16.31mm or 0.642" at the equator. | |||||
