It's hard to tell, for me at least, whether the black ribbons are in fact deep indigo blue, but there are plenty of just plain blue, with plenty blue aventurine, to warrant the name of the illusive Peltier National Line Rainbo BLUE ZEBRA, and to add to the desireability of this marble, there is undeniable evidence that this one was produce on the original and highly controversial MILLER machine.
MILLER machine marbles are quite rare, except for the transparent colored glass varieties that collectors now call Multi-Color Swirls. It was quite unusual indeed when Peltier produced an opaque marble on their MILLER machine, and this one with the BLUE AVENTURINE is an exceptionally rare example indeed. While there are varying amounts of aventurine in the separate ribbons on the marble, there is much more than is to be seen in the pictures due to my lack of the necessary photographic skills. Some are rather light, and some are quite heavy with the sparkling dust-sized particals. But, keep in mind this is BLUE aventurine, one of the more scarce colors you will find, especially with Peltier marbles. So, we have the rarities of the BLUE aventurine, the opaque MILLER machine production, and for the icing on the cake, the wonderful WET MINT condition, which is hardly ever seen on any Peltier product due to the rather unfortunate amout of blow-holes and annealing problems of their marbles. Not so with this gorgeous presentation. CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.7-9.8 The surface is wet and shiny with no sign of play or wear of any kind; in fact, I can find no anomalies on this marble to describe.
