The base glass is a silvery, cloudy white and the surface is heavily covered with copious amounts of the famous Akro Agate OXBLOOD. Long known to collectors as the SILVER OXBLOOD, and a must have for an Akro Agate or any other high-end collection. You have to look closely at the fifth and sixth pictures to see them, but the little eyelash-like marks are present at the poles indicating that the marble was made prior to the 1922 introduction of the so-called "Freeze improvement", which eliminated these crimp marks.
CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.7 Beautiful wet shiny surface with no sign of play or wear of any kind what-so-ever. There are two small melted dimples that are clearly as-made, and that is it. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 15.65mm or 0.616" at the equator. | |||||
