Since their inception, these old PELTIER COMIC PICTURE MARBLES have been some of the most widely recognized in the industry. Screened onto a Peltier Peerless Patch (PPP) marble, they exhibited syndicated comic strip characters of the 1920s. This example is a white-based PPP with a blue patch and portrays the character EMMA who ran the boarding house for the other characters in the comic strip Gasoline Alley.
The strike is well centered and strong, except for a very small section of the top of EMMA's hair.
CONDITION: MINT 9.4 The surface is nice and shiny, with no sign of play or wear or any other damage of any kind. Although the marble is in the factory mint condition, there are some scattered specks of excess graphite splatter. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 16.91mm or 0.665" at the equator. | |||||
