It's difficult to say this is the best two-color Popeye I've ever had, but if it isn't, it rates among the top. The defining opaque white wispy threads nearly fill the crystal clear base glass, but there is still a window provided to view the interior of the marble. There you can see the white threads are intermingling with deep forest green creating a mesmerizing effect. A wide brilliant lipstick red corkscrew accompanies the green as they traverse the circumference of the marble for a turn and a half.
Note how the views from the opposite poles, first and second images, appear to be of two different marbles as the green and white mixture predominates the first and the red the second. CONDITION: PRISTINE, WET MINT 9.8 or even better. I can find no defects or anomalies of any kind. I don't often give a rating this high, but I am confident no one would challenge this as a MUSEUM QUALITY marble. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 15.81mm or 0.625" at the equator. | |||||
