With a transparent blue base glass and bands of color on the surface, the name of this style of marble becomes obvious: a BANDED TRANSPARENT. The EOD style of the bands of color has prompted some collectors to refer to these, in my opinion incorrectly, as a transparent Indian--an Indian is a black-based marble.
Manufacturers produced fewer color-based banded transparents than the clear; it doesn't appear to have affected the value. They sell for approximately the same price. For some reason, most of these banded transparents show signs of heavy use. They are somewhat rare, but the most outstanding feature about this marble's rarity is the surprising mint condition. CONDITION: MINT 9.6 The surface is clean and shiny, and there is no evidence of play or wear. I found a tiny surface air bubble showing as a pinprick in the sixth picture, and that's it.
