This is one of those marbles that nearly everyone who has ever collected marbles knows about and desperately wants one of their own: the Akro Agate SPARKLER. They are some of Akro's earlier efforts and must have used superior glass. Because most of them, this example particularly shows resistance to the wear and pinpricking that causes the loss of shine, which causes loss of value.
Beneath the crystal clear casement glass, veins of color run from seam to seam. The most prominent is a brilliant lipstick red that covers about a third of the available space. Next comes white, powder blue, green, yellow, brown, and royal blue. CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.7 or better. The surface has a glossy wet look, and I can find no evidence of play or wear at all. You can see a single elongate surface air bubble with rounded melted edges near the center of the fourth image, as well as an undefined rub-mark(?) showing in the center of the third.
