Four almost perfectly spaced blue and white outer bands run from pole to pole. These alternate with four red and creamy-yellow bands to create a cage around a slightly less than 2" clear-based marble. A well-designed latticinio web occupies the core. The nineteenth-century glass artisan who completed this work deserves high praise and respect.
The craftsman who performed the polishing of this old giant also deserves commendations. The pictures describe the work of both better than I can.
CONDITION: PROFESSIONALLY POLISHED. The polishing process removed all the damage, but none of the original designer's work. I see no residual damage other than a couple of surface air bubbles.
