The base glass is the translucent cloudy grey/white Akro Agate used for their ACE family of marbles. There are two CORKSCREWs on the surface: A thick application of the famous Akro OXBLOOD and a splash of opaque to semitransparent ORANGE. The diameter measures 3/4," and the condition is the same as when it left the factory.
I have looked for one of these for a very long time. The oxblood ACEs are some of my favorites, especially in the 3/4" shooter size. I suspect that these ORANGE, CHERRY, and CARNELIAN OXBLOODs are more scarce than the more expensive BLUE and EGGYOLK versions. So, for me anyway, the colors, size, and condition make this the ultimate choice to add integrity, value, and trading clout for the novice or the seasoned high-end collector. Marbles of this caliber only gain in value. CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.8. The surface is PRISTINE as if it had never been touched. There is a glossy wet appearance with no sign of play or wear at all.
