Finding marbles of this caliber recalls the thrill of discovery back to the early days: the delight of the first mint Popeye and the enthusiasm of each unique addition to the collection.
I wasn't even aware of the existence of the colors accorded to this marble until I saw it: Cobalt blue, cyan/green/turquoise on the surface, and a small window allows for viewing the lemon yellow down inside with the white. I could turn this description into a small book singing the praises of this little gem, but I think the pictures are enough to create an instant desire for any Popeye collector to possess it. CONDITION: WET MINT 9.8 No signs of play or wear are visible on the glossy wet looking surface. The only anomaly might be a slight cold roll dent shown at the lower-left edge of the fourth and sixth images. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 16.29mm or 0.640" at the equator. | |||||
