A clear base glass with a spiraling surface corkscrew sporting two and one-half twists forms a charming Akro Agate Spiral Snake. This Spiral style cork is unique for its bi-colored aspect showing white on one side and yellow on the other. The myriad of bubbles make it easy to hide any pinpricks that may exist on the surface, but fortunately, this one has none.
NOTE: the little eyelash-like marks are shown at each of the poles. These are the shear marks that were eventually eliminated by the advent of the so-called "Freeze Improvement" of 1922. We know from these marks that the manufacture date was sometime before 1922.
CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.8 The surface has a glossy wet shine with absolutely no sign of play or wear. The tiny bubbles you see in the pictures are all sub-surface. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 16.08mm or 0.633" at the equator. | |||||
