Sometimes, the more you look at a marble, the more difficult it becomes to describe, probably because closer inspection reveals more details. This old Master Made SUNBURST is a prime example of this phenomenon: Initially, half of the marble shows some earth tones on a translucent reddish base glass. But while photographing and inspecting for condition and description purposes, I notice veins of yellow, blue, and green dispersed among many diverse tones of brown, from tan to chocolate. The opposite side shows a transparent amber glass covering the backsides of the veins of the earth tones listed above. Some red ribbons and veins can be seen as the cause of the red tint to the transparent amber.
CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.7 MINT(+) 9.7 The glossy shine seems to almost need a towel to dry it off. Two tiny melted needle-points are visible in the sixth picture; I mention them only because there is nothing else to mention about the condition. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 15.84mm or 0.624" at the equator. | |||||
