The HANDGATHERED version of Christensen Agate's AMERICAN AGATE appears to possess a singular resemblance to their slag marbles. Produced from a single stream, a mixture of clear and Fuschia?, was twisted into the familiar "Nine and Tunnell" pattern then cut from the "stream" of molten glass. The first image depicts the "Nine" configuration; the subsequent four then show quarter-turn revolutions, and at last, the cut-off mark where the worker separated the marble from the stream.
