Here's one that nearly all MARBLE KING collectors either have or want for their own: the "ROBIN EGG."
Considering PATCH & RIBBON marbles: Originally, the P&R marbles were straightforward two-color marbles. The first patch was of one color, and the first ribbon was adjacent to the first patch and of the other color. Then, a second ribbon of the first color was applied contiguously to the first, followed by a patch of the second color. The ribbons meet each other precisely on the surface at two opposing seams. This example, dubbed the "ROBIN EGG," has more color in one ribbon than some of the old-style had in total. The first patch is primarily powder blue with some bands of darker or lighter similar hues. The first adjoining ribbon includes bands of tan, red, and what looks like OXBLOOD. Next, another ribbon: this marble has a wide swath of diverse shades of blue. A red patch follows that for the finale. CONDITION: NEAR MINT(+) The surface is shiny but not quite as much as it could be. I don't see any sign of playtime, and it certainly hasn't seen any of the games played in the dirt. Still, with magnification, I can see light pocket wear.
