Black aventurine ribbons meet on a slightly tinted white base glass at two opposing seams, making what collectors call a ZEBRA. The aventurine is heavily applied, much more than what my pictures indicate. The ZEBRA has become a popular item among Peltier collectibles over the last couple of years, making the value too volatile to estimate and the ones in MINT condition a very hard marble to find.
CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.7 The surface has a glossy, wet look and is free from any signs of play or wear. I found a single pin-point about the size of a grain of table salt in one of the black ribbons, most likely caused by the aventurine. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 15.93mm or 0.627" at the equator. | |||||
