This offering, for your consideration, is an MFC HANDGATHERED AMBER SLAG. Slag glass consisted of a white opaque glass swirled with transparent colored glass. This "slag glass" was then gathered on a punty by hand from a single stream of molten glass. In the first picture, you can see the "nine and tunnel" configuration and follow the tail around to its finale at the cut line in the sixth.
CONDITION: NEAR MINT(+) The surface has a beautiful wet shiny look, but I can see, with magnification, some slight wear and a couple of pinpricks that may or may not be as-made. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 15.05mm or 0.592" at the equator. | |||||
