All of the early major marble manufacturers produced slag marbles. Peltier marketed their rendition of the slag marbles as the National Onyx. The white glass mixed with the colored to yield a single stream of glass similar to all slags. The edges of these swirls presented to the surface, creating a "feathering" effect. This "feathering" makes Peltier slags easily distinguished from any other slag. This example, a lighter hue than usual, shows more of this feathering than the majority of these you will see.
CONDITION: MINT 9.6 The surface is wet and shiny, with no sign of play or wear at all. I can only see some very small as-made melted dimples and the like even with the aid of a bright light and jeweler's loupe. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 15.50mm or 0.610" at the equator. | |||||
