Transparent red, always a rare Peltier Color, is host to white swirls that turn a narrow edge to the surface, creating the feathering effect for which the NATIONAL ONYX, or slag, is famous. Although Peltier probably made more of the Red Onyx than the Yellow, their popularity with collectors has made them just as hard to find.
CONDITION: MINT(-) 9.3 The surface has the glossy wet shine of a new marble, but there are several tiny shallow melted dimples. Also, two surface air bubbles present as holes; they don't have the rough edges as some of the more drastic and all too frequent, Peltier blow-holes.
