The base glass of this marble is opaque robin's-egg blue. Yellow ribbons traverse the surface of the base and meet at two opposing seams. Each of the yellow ribbons has a red streak right down the center, and I think I am correct here, changing the character definition of the marble from a CUB SCOUT to a SUPERBOY.
In most Superboy IDs, the ribbons are red with yellow streaks, or a blend of red with yellow; the emphasis is that the red and yellow share the same ribbons, rather than separate red and yellow, which would be a Superman. In my opinion, the same rule holds for this marble: the red and yellow share the same ribbons; therefore, this marble qualifies as a Superboy. I invite comments. CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.7 The surface is glossy wet, and shiny without a trace of play or wear showing. In the first picture, at about four o'clock and about 10 o'clock in the sixth, a cold roll line intersects one ribbon. At that intersection is a tiny, clearly as-made squiggle mark.
