Six ribbons meet at two seams on the surface of a transparent aquamarine base glass. I think the pictures show the aquamarine to be a bit more toward the blue side than the green. Although I didn't even know they were named, I can't remember when I didn't have one of these old POLAR BEARs around somewhere. They were handy for showing the difference between an NLR and a RAINBO. That color is mindful of arctic ice. CONDITION: MINT(-) The surface is wet and shiny without the slightest trace of play or wear anywhere. After a very close inspection with a new 15x loupe, I finally found a short, shallow hairline across the breadth of one of the white ribbons--see near the center of the fifth picture. You can see an apparent open-air hole above that hairline in the center of the fifth picture. There is no hole there; it is all subsurface. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 17.36mm or 0.683" at the equator. | |||||
