Four evenly spaced sets of alternating yellow and white lattice lines are used as ribbons to decorate the surface and mirror the actions of the four glossy jelly ribbons at the core. Each Jelly ribbon is accompanied by an opaque band: yellow for each of the two red jelly ribbons as white appends the blue and the green.
The basal pontail mark is unfinished, and the other is a pigtail melted to near oblivion, facts that help us date the marble to the late Victorian period, circa 1870-1910. CONDITION: MINT(-) 9.4 The condition of this old-timer is remarkable. I can find no evidence of play or wear at all. There is a tool mark shown near the bottom of the fourth picture. Some of the bubbles have made it to the surface to cause some minor pitting, and that's it. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 34.23mm or 1.347" at the equator. | |||||
