WOW! This one is a dandy!
The thumbnail image that led you to this location looks like a somewhat rare red and orange Popeye. But now that you're here, you can see another color, yellow, residing below the surface with the Popeye-defining white wispy threads. A three-color HYBRID POPEYE is always considered a valued discovery.
The second image best shows the red to be translucent, while the orange and yellow appear opaque. Is the orange a product of the blending of red and yellow, or is it the residual of a color change during an active run? You decide. In any case, I am satisfied there is enough of each to call this a Three-Color Hybrid Popeye. CONDITION: 9.7 MINT 9.7 Plenty of interior bubbles made it to the surface and collapsed inward, leaving dimples with melted edges. The fifth picture shows what appears to be pinpricks and such, but everything shown is strictly below the surface. It really is a clean marble. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 16.05mm or 0.633" at the equator. | |||||
