DESCRIPTION: I offer my sincere apologies. I can't tell you very much about this marble, because I don't know anything.
My first thought when introduced to this sweetheart was "alien planet landscape" and then "Venus." I can't account for why. The second picture shows the bottom of the marble and the signature. I have been informed that signature is that of Douglas Sweet, artist. I don't have to know anything to enjoy the imaginative way the artist has used his skill to create a tangible out of thought. Now we can enter that area with our own interpretation. Come to think of it, who the artist is doesn't matter much. What we have is an inch and a half of pretty to consider. CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.9 The surface is near perfect. The only blemish is the rather ugly signature that is unreadable and rough to me, unworthy of the exceptional work on the rest of the marble.
