DESCRIPTION: The Peltier NLR Golden Rebel is such a lovely marble. The yellow base glass with the red and black aventurine ribbons is always a delight to see in any display.
As I examine its surface for features and any possible anomalies, the black ribbons seem to be dripping aventurine. But, they also have an edge of sparkling bronze aventurine attached to the black on this marble. A closer look shows one of the red ribbons also has a similar bronze aventurine edge--see the fifth image. The red ribbons also have their own peculiarity; they have their own supply of red aventurine. At this point, I was having difficulties believing my eyes; however, believe it or not, the base glass has a moderate sprinkling of yellow aventurine. And, as if that were not enough to make this the most singular Golden Rebel I've ever even heard of, there are, in addition to the yellow aventurine, thin lines of green aventurine, also shown in the fifth image. That makes five distinctive types of aventurine, all on a single marble. Absolutely unheard of. These are terrible pictures for showing aventurine accurately, I'm afraid. I see the phrase "it looks better in hand" so often that I try to avoid using it. However, in this instance, this marble actually does look much better in hand than in the pictures. In hand, I can see all of the different aventurines that the pictures can only hint at. CONDITION: MINT 9.6 The surface is glassy smooth, but, as you can see in the pictures, the surface is showing a little more than the usual amount of as-made melted dimples that may be associated with some the aventurines.
