DESCRIPTION: The last two pictures show the seams where four 'dark brown' ribbons meet on the surface of the snow-white base glass. The ribbons appear black, even in hand, but close inspection, as well as these enlarged pictures, shows the ribbons to be a dark, black-coffee brown.
The pictures do not show the coppery look of the aventurine that collectors call bronze or copper. Still, they convey an idea of the amount, especially considering my poor record of photographing aventurine. Bronze aventurine is rarely found on any marbles at all; in my experience, Peltier marbles are the only ones I've seen to use it. Though not as elusive as Blue, the bronze aventurine is still considerably less common than the black. CONDITION: MINT 9.6 The surface is wet and shiny looking, but there is a tiny open-air bubble that can be seen in the fourth and fifth pictures. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 15.23mm or 0.599" at the equator. | |||||
