The Akro Agate Popeye is defined as two differently colored corkscrews on a clear base glass with wispy threads of opaque white glass.
DESCRIPTION: These particular colors have a striking brilliance that has caused this marble to catch the eye of everyone who has seen it in every display it has occupied. The crystal clear base glass has a just-right distribution of white wispy threads that perfectly defines the marble as a Popeye while providing gorgeous contrast and still leaving enough of a window to view the considerable inside action of the marble. The first four images below are of quarter-turn rotations of the marble, and the last two are of each end or pole. CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.7 The surface has an incredibly glossy wet shine with no signs of wear at all. I can see a couple of sub-surface reflections by rotating the marble under a bright light and using a jeweler's loupe, but I can't find any correlating impact marks.
