DESCRIPTION: White and grey veins oppose various hues of red, including some that resemble oxblood. They meet at the two familiar MMM horseshoe-shaped seams on a transparent clear base glass surface. Even when backlit, the base glass appears red; but close examination shows it as transparent clear. The red veins, covering over half of the surface, cause the red base glass effect, seen in the seventh and eighth pictures.
CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.7 I can see no evidence of play or wear on the near-perfect glossy wet surface. I found a single melted dimple with a tiny tit in its center and a short piece of the seam in the second picture, which shows a bit of a rough place at the shear mark. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 17.78mm or 0.700" at the equator. | |||||
