As the title says: this marble is !!!EXCEEDINGLY RARE!!! So rare, I don't even know what to call it. My first thought was a CLAMBROTH. But a Clambroth is a white translucent clambroth, not a true Clambroth.
An Onionskin and Joseph's coat are clear base marbles. The Onionskin has a clear wrapper, or skin, covering the clear and the colors on top of that. The Joseph's Coat has lines of color directly over or in the clear glass with separation between the lines.
DESCRIPTION: The base glass is transparent clear with an apparent white skin applied to the surface. The verticle lines are more of a rusty red/brown and not quite as brown as the images indicate. I can detect no sign of separation between the white and the brown, so I am forced to assume that this marble is of the onionskin type. The marble does not run true to the conventional clambroth type, although the colors and patterns are reminiscent. CONDITION: NEAR MINT(-) The surface is marked with tiny pinpricks and wear pretty much all over. None of it has broken down the recognition of the identity in any way nor detracted from its rarity.
