DESCRIPTION: Opaque white stripes and swirls swirl on and in a transparent purple base glass fitting the description of a Christensen Agate Company Purple Slag. I suppose, technically, the marble would qualify as a Stripped Transparent Submarine; but all of the collectors I have met reserve that distinction for those with more than one color of stripes and swirls.
NOTE: The first picture shows the single seam and the second the reverse side. The next four depict 90-degree rotations of the sides adjacent to the ends. CONDITION: MINT(+) 9.7 The surface is wet and shiny and shows no sign of play or wear of any kind. A couple of faint sub-surface reflections show up and disappear when viewed under a bright light and magnification. You may click here to view the grading system I use. Size 16.00mm or 0.630" at the equator. | |||||
